Job summary

Jump Trading Group in Chicago is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to support global operations by maintaining the general ledger across multiple entities, including period-end reporting and intercompany activity. This role reports to the Accounting Director with an expectation to work in the office at least 4 days per week.

You will drive month-end close, manage automated reconciliations, perform variance analysis, and support audit, tax, and finance automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA certified or actively pursuing CPA certification.
• 4+ years of accounting experience with ownership of the general ledger and multi-entity close processes.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software; comfortable with new automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close: manage central processes across entities and jurisdictions.
• Automated reconciliations: oversee daily cash activity and resolve breaks.
• Variance analysis: explain monthly variances and trends.
• Intercompany & equity: support global intercompany consolidations across entities.
• Problem-solving & process improvement: drive ad hoc analyses and efficiency gains.
• Audit & tax support: collaborate with external auditors and tax, prepare schedules.
• Finance automation: contribute to automation initiatives in reconciliations and reporting.
