Job summary

CRG Search in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Accountant to support technical accounting, financial reporting, strategic projects, and process improvements. The role offers hybrid work with 3-4 days onsite and 1-2 days remote, and exposure to automation initiatives and senior leadership.

The candidate should have a CPA or be pursuing certification, a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years of accounting/auditing experience (preferably in public accounting), strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or actively pursuing certification
• 3+ years of accounting or auditing experience, preferably with a public accounting background
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
• Independent problem solver with a proactive, technology-driven mindset
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Research complex accounting transactions, prepare technical accounting memos, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, footnote disclosures, and accounting policy development.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis for month end close
• Gain exposure to complex accounting initiatives involving financing transactions, new contracts, business expansion, accounting policy enhancements, and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Help redesign accounting processes, improve reporting efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and implement automation solutions using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau.
• Partner with senior leadership on technical accounting assessments, special projects, and cross-functional business initiatives.
