Job details

This 100% remote Senior Accountant role requires expertise in statutory accounting and insurance. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic insurance environment, with potential travel for in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statutory accounting and capital management for the P&C insurance division.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct internal audits to identify risks or non-compliance.
• Collaborate on financial strategies and initiatives with other departments.
• Provide guidance on financial matters to senior management.
• Travel quarterly for in-person meetings (about 4 days per trip).
• Stay updated on industry trends and accounting regulations.
• Mentor junior finance team members.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of statutory accounting and/or capital management experience.
