Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports. The Spend Controllership team's core purpose is to empower Alphabet leadership to make well-informed spending decisions by navigating financial complexities and ensuring accurate accounting at scale. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape processes and controls for Research, Labs, and Tech and Society spending at Google. You will be a key driver in aligning processes and systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving tangible results. As a team-oriented accountant, you'll contribute to a dynamic, high-growth environment and be an integral part of the end-to-end financial reporting process. This role also involves close collaboration with global teams and the broader Spend Controllership team, coordinating financial reporting matters across Alphabet. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $128000 - $187000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with new changes to existing processes.
• Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors, and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums and procedural walk-throughs.
