Job summary

Broan-NuTone LLC in Hartford, WI, seeks a Senior Accountant to own SG&A and capital activity, support auditors, and ensure audit-ready financials. The role partners with the U.S. Controller and operates in a hybrid model three days on site.

You’ll lead monthly SG&A reporting, budgeting and P&L analyses, manage fixed assets, and drive process improvements across close cycles while delivering clear accounting narratives for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience (journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close).
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and comfort with P&L and balance sheet relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to explain results and drivers (SG&A movements, capital and depreciation changes).
• Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, basic modeling); experience with Planful or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience working with an ERP system; comfort learning new financial systems and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently with leaders at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• SG&A Reporting, Budgeting & Analysis Own preparation, review, and distribution of monthly SG&A reports across U.S. functions (HR, IT, Marketing, Finance, corporate support).
• Capital Projects & Fixed Assets Support capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting for U.S. operations.
• Financial Reporting & Close Close for SG&A and capital areas; post journals; perform reconciliations; support external auditors.
• Rebates, Allowances & Revenue-Related Accruals Manage accruals and balance sheet reconciliations for rebates, allowances, and revenue-related reserves.
• Business Partnering & Executive Support Collaborate with functional leaders and executives; communicate trends and opportunities.
• Systems, Tools & Process Improvement Use planning/reporting tools to streamline SG&A/capital reporting processes.
