Kforce Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant and Manager - SEC for a growing New York area CPA/consulting firm. You will oversee staff accountants, prepare SEC-related statements, and manage monthly closings while developing client relationships in a dynamic outsourced accounting practice.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years at a PCAOB firm, strong Excel/QuickBooks skills, and knowledge of ASC 606 and related standards. The role supports flexible schedules with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a PCAOB Accounting Firm.
• Knowledge of SEC accounting preferred; Working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with and oversee Staff Accountants
• SEC audit and review preparation
• Monthly financial closings
• Financial modeling including budgeting, forecasting, and projections
• Assistance with accounting procedures
• Assessment and improvement of financial processes and internal controls
• Prepare and review financial statements for both the public and private sector including disclosures for audit, review and compilation engagements
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
