KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting seeks a Senior Accountant to support SEC and financial reporting, working with finance, external auditors, and internal stakeholders on statements, filings, and process improvements. This hybrid role eliminates travel with three days from home each week.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA preferred, and 2+ years public accounting or 4+ years corporate accounting, with strong GAAP and Excel skills and Workday/Workiva experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 2+ years in public accounting or 4+ years in corporate accounting.
• Proficient in GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Strong Excel and data management skills; Workday and Workiva valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and earnings releases.
• Coordinate SEC filings and support external audits.
• Prepare regulatory reports for FHFA and FHLBank system.
• Maintain internal controls and improve reporting processes.
• Research SEC/GAAP issues and support XBRL and AI use in reporting.
