HII Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant (Accountant 3) to support SEC filings, month-end close, and consolidation duties within the Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting team in Newport News, VA. The role involves multi‑tasking, cross‑functional coordination, and ensuring accuracy of financial statements.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of exempt experience or a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with the required years of experience as stated.
• Experience with SEC reporting and external filings.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Support accurate submission of SEC filings and XBRL tagging.
• Prepare accounts reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Support year-end audits and interim reviews.
• Act as primary liaison for ad hoc projects and reporting duties.
• Oversee maintenance of accounting systems and IT liaison.
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Develop relationships across the organization to resolve issues.
