Job summary

theDeveloper | IT em Portugal is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team in Indiana, focusing on month-end close, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant reporting.

You will manage journal entries, accruals, budgeting support, payroll processing, and tax-related tasks for a growing SAAS company, requiring 4–7 years of accounting experience, strong USA tax knowledge, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of proven work experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
• Prior accounting experience with SAAS companies.
• Knowledge of USA tax code.
• Excellent written English.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform the month-end close process with GAAP-compliant statements.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and expense allocations.
• Reconcile bank, Stripe, Chargebee, and crypto accounts.
• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and record keeping.
• Assist in budgeting and monitoring; build forecasts.
• Prepare and review payroll for disbursement.
• Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders, including tax-related requests.
