Position: Senior Accountant, Royalties

Hasbro’s Corporate Royalty Accounting group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This role reports to the Manager of Accounting, Royalties, and involves managing royalty entertainment revenue accounting, including participation and residual reporting at our global entertainment company. The position is essential for revenue recognition, month-end close, account reconciliations, and analysis, requiring efficiency and accuracy.

This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite work 3 days per week at our Pawtucket, RI office.

A Day in the Life of the Senior Accountant, Royalties:

1. Manage entertainment royalty revenue accounting, including calculations and classifications.
2. Oversee tracking and reporting of participation, residual payments, and guarantees to third-party stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with business operations, legal, and finance teams to align revenue accounting with business needs.
4. Implement process improvements, including the use of AI.
5. Assist internal and external auditors during audits.
6. Maintain communication with operational leaders for accounting and reporting support.
7. Complete ad hoc projects as needed.

What You Bring:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
2. At least 3 years of public accounting or public company experience; Big 4 experience preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance; familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 926 is a plus.
4. Experience reviewing contracts; entertainment and licensing industry knowledge is a plus.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication skills and adaptability.

Compensation Range (USD):

• Starting: $82,700
• Maximum: $124,100
