Job summary

Vivani Medical is seeking an Accounting Manager to support accounts payable, general ledger, monthly close, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced public company environment.

This hybrid role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and hands-on accounting experience. The position offers opportunities to drive process improvements across finance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and follow-up capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience with multiple finance and accounting SaaS platforms

Responsibilities

• Facilitate PR/PO requesting, processing and tracking; ensure completeness and accuracy in data entry and required approvals
• Monitor invoice intake, entry status, and due dates to ensure timely processing and payment
• Review invoices for completeness, accuracy, proper coding, and required approvals
• Collect and maintain two-way/three-way match documentation including PO/contract, receiving evidence, and invoices
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and approvals
• Support vendor onboarding including W-9/W-8 collection
• Serve as primary point of contact for vendor communications and vendor relationship management
• Assist with payment processing activities and AP reporting
• Support procurement and expense policy compliance initiatives
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Perform accounting and reconciliations for cash, bank accounts, credit cards, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, intercompany
• Maintain cutoff and accrual procedures; audit-ready documentation
• Assist with SOX controls and internal compliance activities
• Maintain support for audits and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
• Support system implementations and process improvements
• Participate in cross-functional projects supporting finance operations
