Job summary

LHH in Oklahoma City is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role performs advanced accounting functions and supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily operations.

The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000 - $75,000. Candidates will prepare monthly reports, perform variance analyses, assist with budgets, and mentor accounting staff while developing policies and improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to learn and navigate accounting/financial software quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in a senior-level or lead accounting role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management and board-level financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze general ledger activity and perform detailed variance analysis with clear explanations.
• Assist financial institution clients with budget preparation and presentation support.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for accounting-related questions, research, and procedural guidance.
• Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing accounting workflows and internal processes.
• Review work prepared by accounting staff and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
• Assist in training and mentoring accounting team members and new personnel on accounting procedures.
• Develop, update, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and special projects.
