Leeds Professional Resources seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on managing key accounting functions, preparing and analyzing financial information, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close.
• Strong Excel and ERP experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead and support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Assist with audits and provide requested documentation and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal departments and provide financial information and analysis as needed.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives.
