• Coordinate with the tax team on filings, estimates, and year-end provisions.
• Validate revenue recognition in line with current accounting standards.
• Reconcile merchant fees against statements.
• Close the books each month and meet deadlines at JCPenney.
• Review covenant terms to keep lenders calm.
