Job summary

Mondrian Alpha seeks a Senior Accountant to own the monthly and quarterly close for a global multi-strategy investment firm in Stamford, CT. This role reports directly to leadership and offers real ownership from day one, with exposure across Finance, Tax, Treasury and operating teams.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting or asset management experience, a strong US GAAP foundation, and outstanding communication skills to interact with non-accountants while driving process

Responsibilities

• Own core elements of the monthly and quarterly close, including accruals and intercompany allocations
• Prepare and review management company financial statements and schedules
• Partner with FP&A on budget vs. actual analysis and variance commentary for senior management
• Improve the close by tightening controls, automating manual work and cleaning up legacy processes
• Contribute to entity build-outs, system enhancements and ad-hoc projects tied to growth

Its finance team sits close to firm leadership and plays a central role in how the management company is measured, controlled and reported on.

The successful candidate will take real ownership of the management company close from day one, build a detailed understanding of how the business actually makes and spends money, and have visibility across Finance, Tax, Treasury and the operating teams.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review management company financial statements and supporting schedules
