Hire Element - Accounting & Financial Search is seeking a Senior Accountant in Atlanta to maintain financials, reconcile balance sheets, and manage month-end close across multiple entities. The role offers a strong blend of technical accounting and system exposure with potential involvement in M&A support.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3+ years of staff accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills, plus clear communication in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years progressive staff accountant experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger journal entries across multiple entities.
• Maintain workpaper schedules for depreciation, amortization, prepaid expenses and accruals.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist Controller and FP&A Director with reporting.
• Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, and cash management.
• Prepare tax filing reporting and payroll tax support.
• Prepare audit schedules and support the audit process.
• Assist with M&A accounting, due diligence and post-close integration.
