Job summary

RITALKA, Inc. in the Midwest region is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen financial reporting and controls. You will oversee general ledger, month-end close, tax compliance, and coordination with external accountants in a multi-entity manufacturing environment.

Bring 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The role offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits in a family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA or other relevant certification desirable but not required.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or other complex operating environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze balance sheets, income statements, cash flow information, and other financial reports.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules in a multi-entity corporation.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances, unusual transactions, and account discrepancies.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.
• Support payroll accounting and related payroll liabilities.
• Assist with cash management, banking transactions and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for financial transactions.
• Support multi-state tax and regulatory reporting, including sales and use tax and other applicable state filings.
• Work with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, and other advisors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for annual financial reviews, audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements.
• Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting are performed in accordance with GAAP and established company policies.
