Job summary

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, headquartered in Appleton, WI, seeks a Senior Accountant to own and communicate financial information that drives business results. You will lead the monthly close and provide insightful reporting to support decision-making.

In this role, you will manage inventory and asset processes, analyze rebates, and mentor team members while upholding ITW principles and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of broad accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred).
• ERP and Financial Reporting software experience required (Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations expertise preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel skill is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, maintain/reconcile ledger accounts, update and report out on department budgets.
• Provide sales and inventory analysis reports as needed to help support the division.
• Provide timely data through ad-hoc reporting for other managers to assist with decision-making.
• Be analytical, inquisitive, and precise in explanations.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to understand macro and micro trends to quickly discern inaccuracies.
• Assist, prepare and analyze Customer/Distributor Rebate programs.
• Inventory management including participation in cycle counting program, grading, and monitoring months on hand.
• Assist in Reconditioned Machine process and a quarterly cycle count program.
• Help other employees understand how their decisions will impact financial results.
• Identify, communicate, and train others on key business drivers.
• Apply sound judgment to analyze processes, identifying, and acting upon opportunities to reduce complexity and simplify processes.
• Perform related work as apparent or assigned.
