Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Senior Accountant to partner with regional controllers and site leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision-making. You will manage GL activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analyses.

Responsibilities include journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, budgeting support, and audits. The role emphasizes compliance with GAAP and internal controls in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3-5 years progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, GL, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
• ERP systems experience; Sage 500 preferred.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities with timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and compliance with policies.
• Analyze financial data to support operations and management decisions.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Assist with consolidation and intercompany activities.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to provide financial insights.
• Support annual audits with required documentation.
