Job summary

The role reports to the Accounting Manager in a hybrid setting. Candidates should have an undergraduate accounting degree and 3 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree with emphasis in Accounting.
• 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization regarding accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, inventory transactions, and close activities.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and prepare financial statements and analyses.
• Ensure manufacturing facilities comply with GAAP and financial policies.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare and review government reports.
• Assist with external/internal audits as required.
• Support capital investments and fixed asset counts planning.
• Research and resolve accounting issues and provide recommendations.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting for corporate and plant finance teams.
• Participate in corporate and site meetings and activities.
