Job summary

Mad Mobile Inc. in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations from month-end close to tax compliance. You’ll partner across the business to drive process improvements and finance projects. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, U.S.

GAAP expertise, and proficiency with ERP systems. The position is in-office in Tampa with responsibilities including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries, work papers, and supporting schedules.
• Experience with sales and use tax filings and multi-state tax compliance.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash application processes.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite/Sage Intacct/QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Close: Prepare, review, and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close entries.
• Reconcile: Maintain general ledger work papers and reconciliations, resolve variances.
• Comply: Prepare and remit sales and use tax liabilities across jurisdictions.
• Apply: Perform cash application across AR and AP, match receipts and disbursements.
• Balance: Reconcile cash and bank accounts and clear items.
• Support: Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules; intercompany transactions.
• Report: Assist in financial statement prep and management reporting per U.S. GAAP.
• Deliver: Lead ad hoc accounting and finance projects and process improvements.
