Job summary

Vulcan Elements Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting function as an early technical hire. You will manage the close process, inventory and fixed asset accounting, and support ASC 830 foreign currency matters and multi-entity consolidations.

The role involves collaboration across the finance team, audits, and policy implementation to scale operations while maintaining US GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience; public accounting a plus.
• Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge focusing on ASC 330/360/830.
• Experience with NetSuite, Ramp or similar systems and Workiva.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist accounts payable including invoice review and three-way match.
• Maintain inventory rollforward and tie MES/subledger to GL.
• Analyze inventory variances and propose corrective actions or reserves.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger including depreciation and disposals.
• Oversee construction in progress capitalization and CIP rollforwards.
• Prepare fixed asset and CIP rollforwards and reconcile to GL.
• Support ASC 830 foreign currency accounting and FX analysis.
• Assist multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance requests.
• Help implement new accounting policies and guidelines.
