Qualifications

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience in statutory reporting and finance operations within the insurance industry.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial reports and statements.
Lead new project initiatives that will help scale the overall accounting team.
Ensure compliance with GAAP specific to the insurance sector.
Prepare statutory financial statements and other regulatory filings.
Assist in monthly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Work with internal teams to analyze financial data and report on performance.
Support financial audits and coordinate with auditors to address queries.
