Dextera Corporation seeks an Accountant III to provide advanced accounting, financial analysis, and reporting support for the CBP Office of Finance. You will perform ledger operations, reconciliations, analysis of transactions, and prepare corrective action plans, communicating results to management.

The role is primarily remote with periodic on-site requirements within a 50-mile radius of a designated CBP office; candidates must reside in the United States and hold citizenship.

Formación

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (four-year).
• Minimum five years of accounting experience.
• Minimum two years in general ledger.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication for management and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to use multiple monitors.

Responsabilidades

• Extract and analyze program activity data from CBP/DHS systems.
• Perform ledger operations; reconcile GL accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Review internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Prepare financial reports and respond to audit findings.
• Provide accounting guidance to stakeholders and interpret data.
• Support budget execution and inter-agency agreements; communicate findings to leadership.
