Nuna is seeking a Senior Accountant II to advance the accounting function across revenue recognition, leases, fixed assets in a multi-entity environment, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and audit readiness.

You will own the monthly close for revenue across channels, maintain lease schedules under ASC 842, manage fixed assets, and collaborate with FP&A, Sales, and Operations to improve processes and controls. This role requires 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience and a CPA/CMA is desirable.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Experience supporting ICFR, external audits and audit readiness initiatives.
  • Experience working in multi-entity accounting environments; multi-brand exposure preferred.
  • CPA or CMA designation desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly revenue close across all selling channels (e-commerce, B2B, owned retail).
  • Review contracts and journal entries related to ASC 606; prepare estimates and reconciliations.
  • Maintain complete lease population and schedules under ASC 842; perform month-end close journal entries.
  • Manage fixed-asset accounting lifecycle including depreciation, transfers, and impairment considerations.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Sales, Credit & Collections, Operations, Supply Chain, and SAP team on process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain scalable revenue, lease, and fixed-asset processes with strong internal controls.

The position oversees key accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, fixed assets, and related general accounting activities across a multi-entity environment. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP, supports ICFR and audit readiness, supports creation of scalable month-end close processes, and partners across the organization on key operational and continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRevenue Recognition (ASC 606)Own the monthly revenue close process across all selling channels including e-commerce, B2B, and owned retail.Supports review of contracts and transactions, preparation of journal entries and estimates, and timely recognition under ASC 606.Evaluate performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration, contract modifications, principal-versus-agent conclusions, and the timing of revenue recognition.Prepare and review revenue-related balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analyses; investigate and resolve exceptions.Help design, document, and operate scalable revenue processes and internal controls, maintaining evidence to support management review and audit readiness.Partner with Sales, Credit and Collections, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure revenue recognition conclusions are reflected accurately in the financial statements and underlying systemsLease Accounting (ASC 842)Maintain the complete lease population and supporting schedules, ensuring accurate classification, measurement, and accounting for right-of-use assets and lease liabilities under ASC 842.Perform month-end closing activities and record all accounting journal entries for lease additions, modifications, terminations, and remeasurements,Prepare reconciliations of lease schedule balances to the general ledger, disclosure support, and monthly variance analyses; research and resolve data or accounting discrepancies.Develop and maintain scalable lease processes, policies, and ICFR controls, including completeness procedures and documentation supporting audit readiness.Support eventual future migration to a SaaS-based lease accounting and administration platformFixed AssetsOwn fixed-asset accounting across the asset life cycle, including capitalization, construction in progress, transfers, depreciation, disposals, and impairment considerations in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policy.Execute and continuously improve the monthly fixed-asset close, including journal entries, subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliation, project reviews, and timely resolution of reconciling items.Prepare fixed-asset balance sheet reconciliations, roll forwards, and monthly depreciation and capital-spend variance analyses for management review.Technical Accounting & ComplianceResearch, document, and implement complex accounting standards and technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP; apply IFRS knowledge when relevant.Lead and maintain compliance with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 Lease Accounting requirements.Prepare clear, well-supported technical accounting memoranda and support external reporting requirements as needed.Monitor new accounting pronouncements, evaluate organizational impacts, and coordinate timely implementation of applicable guidance.Partner with external consultants and auditors to resolve complex accounting matters, particularly those involving ASC 606 and ASC 842, and maintain documentation supporting conclusions.Maintain revenue, capital and lease accounting revenue policies and support performance of key internal controls; provide audit-ready schedules and evidence.SAP & Business TransformationPartner with the Controller, SAP team, and business stakeholders on ERP transformation initiatives.Assess accounting impacts, define requirements, validate process changes, and support testing, cutover readiness, and user adoption.Support process optimization, automation, and standardization efforts to improve close efficiency, data quality, and control effectiveness.Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with FP&A, Sales, Credit and Collections, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external consultants to ensure accounting requirements are understood and applied consistently.Support cross-functional inputs for month-end close, forecasting support, audit requests, and implementation of new accounting guidance.Experience, Knowledge & EducationPossess a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive corporate accounting experience, demonstrating a solid mastery of general accounting principles and practices.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated ability to research, interpret, document, and implement complex accounting guidance;Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.Hands-on experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842.
