Job summary

Gallagher Flynn LLP in Williston, Vermont, seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations, strengthen financial controls, and support our next stage of growth.

Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will ensure accurate reporting, manage month-end close, forecast cash flow, and provide actionable financial insights while maintaining compliance, process improvements, and strong collaboration in a hybrid setup after probation.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and timely reporting.
• Clear written/verbal communication and ability to work independently.
• Preferred: experience with foreign currencies and manufacturing/distribution contexts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records in accounting/ERP systems.
• Prepare complex journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Lead the month-end close and produce financial statements.
• Develop cash flow forecasts and advise on cash needs.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and leadership to resolve financial and operational issues.
