American Health Staffing Group in Frisco, TX is seeking a Sr. Accountant to lead advanced accounting tasks, support month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and collaboration with Finance, Payroll, Billing and Operations. Hybrid work with potential remote arrangements for qualified candidates.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; not required if offset by equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliation activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Comfortable with or open to learning AI tools as part of daily workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Own the data preparation and reconciliation work behind rebate processing (client-facing communication stays with existing team members).
• Serve as a key point of support for accounting activity specific to the Trio/staffing side of the business.
• Build and own a tracking system for recurring tax filings and business license renewals.
• Cross-train on month-end close processes and accounts payable/vendor setup functions to provide coverage when team members are out.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
