Job summary

Maverick Transportation, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to safeguard the integrity of the general ledger and support all departments with reporting, analysis, and research of financial information. The role focuses on month-end processes, budgeting, and monthly variance analysis, with responsibilities for depreciation, fixed assets, and tax-related filings.

A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 3 years of related experience are required; Workday experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years related experience.
Prior Workday experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure integrity of general ledger by coding and reviewing expenditure activity.
Prepare, reconcile, and analyze monthly worksheets, reports, and investigate variances.
Maintain budgets and perform monthly analysis for adjustments as needed.
Perform monthly margin and financial statement review to understand changes and trends.
Design reports and prepare analysis to support management needs.
Assist other departments with setup and use of accounting software and systems.
