Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Accountant in Oak Park, IL for a hybrid role with exposure to the Controller and CFO. The position offers a total compensation up to $100,000 plus performance bonus, with 1 day per week WFH after training and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Approximately 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting/audit experience strongly preferred.
• Ideal background: 2+ years of public accounting plus 1-2+ years of corporate accounting.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting and month-end close experience.
• Strong Excel and ERP skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Exposure to WIP, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, inventory, sales tax, certified payroll or government contracts.
• Performance-based bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules.
• Maintain GL and perform reconciliations.
• Analyze variances and explain results.
• Manage WIP, job costing and project profitability.
• Support fixed assets and inventory accounting.
• Assist with audits and tax preparation.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with operations on costs and profitability.
• Improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Participate in ERP and process-improvement initiatives.
