The First National Bank Of Williamson is seeking a Senior Accountant to support daily accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and related analyses. This role reports to the CFO and works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records.

The position involves month-end and year-end close, regulatory reporting, audits, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant accounting experience may be considered
• 2-4 years of accounting experience required
• Working knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Experience with bank accounting, regulatory reporting, and Call Report preparation preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn and effectively use the bank's core, general ledger, and financial reporting systems

Responsabilités

• Perform general ledger accounting, including preparing and posting journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation
• Reconcile general ledger, correspondent bank, cash, and other balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies
• Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting processes and financial close
• Assist with preparation of internal financial statements, management reports, schedules, and supporting financial analysis
• Support accounts payable, expense accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other general accounting functions as assigned
• Assist the Controller and CFO with Call Report preparation, regulatory reporting, and supporting schedules
• Research and resolve accounting differences, outstanding items, and unusual transactions in coordination with other bank departments
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with internal controls, GAAP, bank policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and financial reviews
• Assist with budgeting, financial projects, process improvements, and other accounting initiatives as assigned
