Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting. You will act as a technical accounting resource, review staff work, and improve procedures with cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, staff leadership, and strong analytical skills in a manufacturing setting. Hybrid work in Eagan, MN is offered, with ERP expertise in SAP.

Qualifications

• Five years of corporate or similar accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to train, mentor, and supervise staff accountants.
• Experience researching and applying technical accounting guidance (ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 450).
• ERP experience, with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and standardize month-end close tasks, including journal entries in SAP.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations per policy.
• Review junior staff work and ensure accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Train and mentor staff accountants on processes and policies.
• Research and apply technical accounting treatments (leases, fixed assets, contingencies).
• Identify and drive process improvements for close and reconciliations.
• Coordinate state and local tax filings with a third-party firm.
• Evaluate internal controls and related processes.
• Analyze financial results and collaborate across departments.
• Prepare information for external audits and financial statements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Finance Leadership.
