Job summary

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team at CDW and be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance organization that values innovation and continuous growth. In this role, you will drive processes over prepaid expenses, accrued expenses and lease accounting. You will drive continuous improvement to promote the integrity of processes and overall efficiency, while collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization.

What you will do:

  • Ensure transactions are accounted for appropriately in accordance with US GAAP
  • Collaborate with coworkers within finance and across the business to ensure stakeholders understand implications of various transactions
  • Assist FP&A in forecasting efforts and identifying drivers of deviations
  • Evaluate current processes and identify and implement improvements
  • Enhance and perform financial analysis to ensure results are accurate and explainable
  • Ensure financial close and reporting deadlines are met
  • Contribute to monthly internal management reporting packages
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years previous accounting or financial audit experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
  • Solid technical accounting skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with critical attention to detail.
  • Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business, while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
  • Proven track record in problem analysis with the ability to creatively and proactively problem solve.
  • Track record of identifying process improvements and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting applications
  • CPA and ASC 842 experience are a plus

Pay range: $ 79,000 - $ 122,400 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 5% subject to terms and conditions of plan
