Job summary

Rightworks in Nashua, NH is seeking a Senior Accountant to own close areas, maintain general ledger integrity, and apply strong accounting judgment. You will partner with FP&A, Billing, AP, Payroll, Treasury, IT, and external auditors as the company scales, ensuring accurate financial results.

The role is hybrid with up to 3 days in our Nashua headquarters and requires 4–6 years of accounting experience, US GAAP knowledge, and excellent Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience (public plus industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP with ability to research, conclude, and document independently.
• Experience owning close areas in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned close areas end-to-end, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, deferred revenue, equity, and reconciliations.
• Deliver a timely, accurate close and proactively identify and communicate risks.
• Prepare multi-entity journal entries and reconciliations with audit-ready support.
• Apply US GAAP and internal policy to routine and complex transactions, researching and documenting conclusions.
• Evaluate contracts and business changes and recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
• Perform variance and trend analysis with clear root-cause insights.
• Execute and strengthen internal controls, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support external audits.
