Job summary

Community Health Service, Inc (CHSI) seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Rochester, MN team in a remote capacity. The role focuses on financial integrity, grant accounting, and reporting for CHSI, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Minnesota and North Dakota.

The ideal candidate will oversee general ledger, grants tracking, audits, and internal controls while collaborating across departments to ensure compliant, accurate financial management in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Minimum 2-3 years of grant accounting or restricted fund management experience.
• Experience with GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience with multiple funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare grant financial reports, reimbursements, drawdowns, and schedules.
• Support annual financial audits and external reviews.
• Manage financial tracking for federal, state, and foundation grants.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial processes.
