Job summary

The Senior Accountant at Carnival Corporation's Global Accounting & Reporting Services leads the monthly close, prepares journals and reconciliations, and supports intercompany and debt accounting under SOX controls. You will collaborate with treasury, finance planning, and auditors to ensure timely, accurate financial statements from multiple OPCOs and systems such as Oracle and Hyperion.

Qualifications

• Public accounting background and experience in a large SEC environment.
• Experience with month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting processes.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs month-end close process for corporate team, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaises with Global Treasury for debt and derivatives accounting; analyzes new standards.
• Manages intercompany accounting; monitors balances during consolidation.
• Prepares workpapers and coordinates information for audits; supports disclosures.
• Maintains Oracle, Hyperion, and Blackline systems; supports automation projects.
