Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Senior Accountant (HS) to oversee complex accounting activities within Health System Shared Services. You will manage day-to-day general ledger processes, ensure accurate reconciliations, and support senior leadership with timely, accurate financial information.

You will analyze financial data, prepare statements, and provide technical guidance on budgeting and cost centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Performs moderately to complex accounting activities per standards.
• Manages general ledger processes and reconciliations.
• Produces reports for senior management with timely data.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day general ledger processes and reconciliations.
• Review and analyze financial information and prepare reports.
• Serve as primary contact for financial statements, audit workpapers, and inquiries.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to managers for budgeting and financial reports.
• Collaborate with CFO and leaders on cost centers and service lines.
