The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. seeks an Accounting Specialist to join our collaborative finance team in Columbus. This role handles daily accounting tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and closes, supporting GAAP reporting and compliance across departments.

You will work with Workday and Kronos, maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial insights and reliable financial statements.

Formación

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field and/or 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Familiarity with financial & payroll systems; GAAP reporting rules.
• Understanding of fixed assets, financial reporting, payroll, reconciliations, and accounts payable.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for day-to-day activities and monthly closing of assigned tasks; prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations, research variances, and explain discrepancies.
• Prepare Accounts Receivable report detailing non-patient past dues and balance to GL.
• Maintain working knowledge of accounting software and utilize it effectively.
• Verify documents for completeness and regulatory compliance with government and private agencies.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and report discrepancies to Accounting Manager.
• Engage in professional growth and support special projects as needed.
