Job summary

ATI is hiring a Sr Process Leader, Finance to manage the close cycle and daily general ledger activities in a manufacturing setting. The role ensures GAAP-compliant financial reporting, accuracy of statements, and timely submissions.

The candidate will lead continuous improvement within the General Ledger team, work across diverse groups, and communicate with auditors. A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 5+ years’ experience are required, CPA a plus.

We are seeking a Sr Process Leader, Finance (Sr Accountant) to support our Finance Department. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the close cycle and day-to-day general ledger transactions. You will ensure that general ledger transactions and financial statements are accurate, reported timely, and completed in accordance with US GAAP. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams in a manufacturing environment. Associate will perform the summarized jobs listed below.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of inputs for financial statements, supplemental information, and corporate submissions on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Ensure accurate balances for assigned balance sheet accounts and research and resolve issues and discrepancies
• Manage project subledger activities and work closely with Engineering to ensure accurate CIP accounts and capital reporting
• Oversee the intercompany confirmation process
• Serve as the subject matter expert for general ledger-related activities, accounting systems, financial information, and analysis
• Drive continuous improvement projects within the General Ledger team
• Analyze and review corporate procedures and controls to ensure the team is following established guidance
• Facilitate communication and provide responses to internal and external audit teams
• Analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely through the implementation of long-term solutions
• Effectively negotiate and resolve conflict
• Foster collaboration, inspire confidence, and motivate individuals across diverse teams in a manufacturing environment to meet objectives
• Maintain regular, in-person attendance
• Work in an office setting with exposure to operational facility environments

Pref Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five (5) years of accounting experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
• CPA is a plus

Skills

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting, monthly close processes, and US GAAP
• Expertise with ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS/Hyperion
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills
