Steam Logistics is seeking a Senior Accountant – General Ledger to own the month-end close, ensure accurate general ledger entries, and manage balance sheet reconciliations. You will collaborate with internal teams, support audits, and drive improvements that scale with the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Experience performing account and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries during month-end close.
• Ensure transactions are coded accurately in the general ledger.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support close.
• Manage daily bank reconciliations and related processes.
• Release vendor payments on a daily basis.
• Partner with internal teams to gather and interpret financial data.
• Support annual audit requests and work with external auditors.
• Help maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify ways to streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Support internal controls across GL and bank reconciliation functions.
• Assist with training new team members and identifying team development opportunities.
