Job summary

Cars Commerce is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting and Reporting team. Reporting to the Manager, Financial & Technical Accounting, this role contributes to the monthly close process, drives efficiencies, delivers meaningful analysis, and supports other departments.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA, 3+ years of experience, and strong US GAAP/SEC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of financial reporting or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting or corporate accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries and reconciliations during the monthly close.
• Participates in internal and external financial reporting, including portions of Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.
• Drives process improvements, analytics tools, and policy enhancements for a streamlined function.
• Develops, implements, and monitors corporate accounting policies.
• Delivers timely and insightful financial reporting to business leaders.
• Partners with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Executes internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX.
• Collaborates with auditors to ensure efficient review and audit processes.
• Performs other duties and projects to assist the Finance organization.
