Job summary

UPL North America is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, manage general ledger activities, and assist with month-end close in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

This role emphasizes strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines while maintaining controls. Ideal candidates have a CPA or progress toward CPA, SAP FI/CO experience, and advanced Excel skills, along with excellent analytical and communication abilities to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in general ledger, financial reporting, audit, or related roles.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on SAP experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variances.
• Experience with fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, lease accounting or related GL activities.
• Experience supporting external or internal audits and financial controls.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO, fixed asset modules, or close management tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadline-driven.
• Learning agility and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger and Close: manage journal entries and close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Audit Support: coordinate quarterly and annual audit support with schedules and documentation.
• Fixed Assets and Lease: maintain asset records, depreciation schedules, and lease entries.
• Reporting and Analysis: prepare variance analyses and improve accounting workflows.
