Job summary

Apex Service Partners, LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Atlantic Region, based in Buffalo, NY, with 3–4 days on-site and collaboration with teams in Northern Virginia. The role emphasizes accurate GAAP financial reporting and adherence to internal accounting policies.

The candidate will manage full-cycle accounting, assist with audits, and participate in cross-functional projects to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP.
• Excel proficiency; Sage Intacct experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in cost accounting or multi-entity organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts as directed.
• Update or create process documentation in coordination with Accounting Manager and Regional Controller.
• Support locations with day-to-day transactions as required.
• Support annual audit and review processes by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Assist in preparing year-end schedules.
• Respond professionally to internal and external accounting inquiries.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and special projects to improve processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and department goals.
