Job summary

Hanwha Convergence USA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations and drive month-end/year-end closings. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and variance analysis, with NetSuite expertise and bilingual English/Korean collaboration.

The successful candidate will produce financial statements, assist audits, and optimize accounting workflows across cross-functional teams in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience (renewable energy or corporate environment preferred).
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification or active CPA candidate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and trial balance reviews.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, analytical schedules, and management reports with detailed variance analysis.
• Oversee full-cycle AP/AR operations, corporate credit card expenses, and employee expense reimbursements, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Perform and review complex account reconciliations, analyze ledger transactions, and resolve accounting discrepancies using independent judgment.
• Support and coordinate annual financial audits and tax filings with external auditors and corporate finance leads.
• Evaluate, establish, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and internal control enhancements within Oracle NetSuite and related systems.
