Baptist Health’s Southbank Plaza in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior Accountant to help maintain the accuracy of financial records and manage fixed assets. You will support the month-end close, process journal entries, and ensure timely reporting of financial data in a collaborative Finance team.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, audit preparation, and reporting for property, plant, and equipment, working closely with leadership to drive accurate financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Over 5 years accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership appropriate to a senior level accountant.
• Prepare accurate General Ledger, journal entries from various entities to record monthly revenue and expenses.
• Review General Ledger and financial reports for accuracy, reasonableness, and GAAP compliance.
• Reconcile balances.
• Prepare and distribute month end financial reports.
• Complete all audit and tax work papers accurately and meet deadlines.
• Prepare and file accurate city, state, and federal reports as assigned.
• Assist with inventory counts, cash control audits, and special reporting.
• Respond professionally to management questions/requests.
• Inform management of variances and underlying causes of financial statements.
• Meet with physicians/leadership to review compensation formulas and financial activities.
