Job summary

SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Senior Accountant to develop managerial and financial reporting skills in an active, collaborative, and growing work environment. As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee the month-end close, perform accounting research, coordinate external audits, ensure proper revenue recognition, and support department budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Active CPA license or pursuing CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP research.
• Experience with Workday or ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper accounting, revenue recognition, and reporting.
• Oversee and manage the month-end close process.
• Produce monthly operating reports.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify process improvements and implement changes.
