Job summary

UES is seeking an Accountant III to manage high-complexity account areas, lead key components of financial reporting and audits, and drive process improvements. This role serves as a technical expert, supports strategic finance initiatives, and mentors junior team members.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, and strong ERP/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with consolidated statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of complex journal entries and reconciliations (goodwill, equity, debt, acquisitions).
• Manage full-cycle monthly and quarterly close for multiple entities; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements; provide leadership commentary.
• Coordinate with external auditors; ensure timely audit deliverables.
• Drive accounting system integrations and process improvements; support cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor junior/mid-level accountants; promote technical development.
