Job summary

A growing organization in the professional services industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations in Philadelphia. This pivotal role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and enhancing accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, GAAP knowledge, and at least 3 years of accounting experience. Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience (public or private).
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain general ledger integrity in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Investigate and explain variances and unusual transactions.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules.
• Help document and improve accounting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
