Job summary

Tesco Controls, a UFT company, seeks a Senior Accountant to support general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring GAAP compliance and effective internal controls. The role interfaces with cross-functional teams to strengthen reporting and processes.

You will oversee asset, inventory, and project cost accounting, contribute to audits, and help drive annual budgeting while leading a small accounting group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
• Construction, engineering, and/or manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations; support month-end close.
• Oversee fixed assets, inventory, and project/job cost accounting and variance analysis.
• Provide leadership to the accounting and finance team, including AP/AR.
• Recommend process improvements and support policy development.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and budgeting.
• Other duties as assigned.
