Job summary

Amerita, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant in Louisville, KY to join the accounting team reporting to the Controller. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, analyze variances, manage fixed assets, payroll entries, and assist with month-end close and consolidation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years in accounting, and strong analytical/communication skills; CPA preferred. Competitive benefits and a non-retail, closed-door environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from accredited university.
• CPA and public accounting firm experience preferred.
• At least three (3) years of strong experience in an accounting role.
• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Creativity and outside-the-box thinking a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Analyze revenue, cost of sales and operating expense trends and prepare related accruals.
• Perform inter-company balance review and reconciliation.
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting, reconciliation to fixed asset subledger and compliance with related accounting policies.
• Analyze physical inventory variances and generate reports to facilitate management review.
• Prepare payroll entries and reconcile to payroll reports and source data. Review payroll as processed by Human Resources.
• Prepare profit and loss statements for the branches and follow up with branches as needed.
• Assist with month-end close and consolidation processes, cash management activities, audit preparation and company merger and acquisition activities.
