Job summary

CONWAY, DEUTH & SCHMIESING, PLLP is seeking an experienced accounting professional to perform a wide range of accounting, audit, and tax assignments under supervision of managers and partners.

The role requires flexibility to meet client needs, with seasonal overtime. You will prepare financial reports, compile statements, and work with partners on engagements while developing client relationships and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or CPA eligibility is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and income tax.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Record transactions in ledgers and prepare trial balances and simple financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare payroll tax, sales tax, and personal income tax returns.
• Assist in compiling, reviewing and auditing financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze financial data to summarize position and projection.
• Develop client relationships and participate in client meetings and seminars.
• Mentor staff and supervise projects and assignments.
